Pick a product, choose a size and a starting layout, then type your words (or design freely in Advanced). The price, including shipping, updates as you go. When you send your design, we email you a proof to approve. Nothing is engraved or charged until you approve it.

After you approve your proof. We'll send payment details with the proof. There's nothing to pay when you send your design.

Yes. Set the quantity when you order. Shipping for each additional item is reduced, and orders over the free-shipping amount ship free (see Shipping).

Yes. Your design is kept in your browser automatically, and Save design gives you a private link that works on any device for 90 days.

Yes. Use Artwork → Upload your own. It works best with high-contrast images like logos, drawings and silhouettes. You must own the artwork or have permission to use it.

Yes. Use the Photo button in Advanced. We convert it to a detailed dot pattern that engraves beautifully on light woods. A photo adds a small charge per item, shown in the price.

The layout, sizes and lettering are exact, because the preview is the actual engraving file. Wood grain and engraving tone vary naturally from piece to piece.

Yes. Text smaller than about 6 mm (2.5 mm on metal tags) doesn't engrave cleanly, so the designer won't let it go smaller.

Wipe clean with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Keep signs out of standing water and harsh sun. Cutting boards: hand-wash only, dry promptly, and re-oil with food-safe mineral oil now and then.

Yes. The engraving is burned into the wood and finished with food-safe oil. Use the back side for heavy cutting to keep the design crisp.
